Adobe is taking a quieter, more practical step forward with its latest update to Adobe Firefly. Instead of flashy changes, the focus this time is on making everyday creative work feel easier and more connected.

The idea is simple—spend less time jumping between tools and more time actually creating. Firefly is now built to handle that flow in one place, from generating ideas to refining them.

One of the biggest updates is custom AI models, currently in public beta. These let users train the system using their own images, so their work keeps a consistent look—whether it’s a specific art style, character, or photography tone.

This matters a lot for creators who rely on consistency. Details like lighting, colours, and composition can now stay aligned across projects without extra effort.

Adobe is also opening things up by integrating over 30 AI models from companies like Google, OpenAI, and Runway. So instead of sticking to one system, users can mix and match tools depending on what they need.

There are also small but useful improvements to speed things up. Features like Quick Cut can turn raw video into a rough draft quickly, and image editing tools now make it simpler to adjust or expand visuals without getting too technical.

Firefly is also becoming a bigger part of Adobe’s core apps like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Express, which makes the whole experience feel more unified.

At the same time, Adobe is testing a new idea with Project Moonlight, where users can interact with AI through chat. These AI agents can help create and edit content, making the process feel a bit more natural and guided.

Overall, this update isn’t about big promises. It’s more about smoothing out the creative process—helping people go from idea to final result with fewer steps and less friction.
