Yotta Data Services has partnered with Mirror Security to bring encrypted AI inference services to its Shakti Cloud, one of India’s largest sovereign AI platforms with more than 16,000 GPUs. The move adds a strong privacy layer to the country’s growing AI infrastructure.
Under the partnership, Mirror Security’s fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) engine is now integrated into Yotta’s Tier IV cloud setup. This allows companies to run AI models on sensitive data without decrypting it at any point. The data stays encrypted even while being processed.
This is particularly important for sectors like banking, financial services, healthcare, legal services, and government agencies. These industries deal with highly confidential information, and concerns around data exposure have often slowed AI adoption.
The companies say encryption keys remain with customers, and all processing takes place within India. This helps organizations meet AI governance standards and data localisation requirements while keeping control of their information.
Yotta also noted that it already powers a major share of India’s AI compute capacity. With advanced encryption now built into Shakti Cloud, the company aims to support more secure and regulated AI deployments.
The development follows Yotta’s recent support for Bhashini’s shift to its Government Community Cloud and Shakti Cloud. As a result, Bhashini’s language data, AI models, and citizen interactions now run fully on Indian cloud and GPU infrastructure.
Overall, the partnership reflects a growing focus on building AI systems that balance performance with privacy and national digital control.
