Wipro has rolled out a new operating model aimed at helping enterprises rethink and modernise their core functions by bringing strategy, artificial intelligence, and execution under one structure.
The company said the model combines consulting and operational delivery across four key business areas: People and Change, Supply Chain and Operations, Finance, and Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience. The focus, Wipro noted, is on taking responsibility for transformation from start to finish rather than stopping at advisory work.
According to the company, many organisations continue to struggle with outdated operating models and slow-moving transformation programmes. While interest in AI has surged, results on the ground have often fallen short, largely because strategy and execution are handled in silos.
Consulting Becomes the Core Driver of Transformation
Wipro said its new structure is designed to bridge that gap by directly linking leadership-level strategy with practical implementation. Instead of one-time innovation projects, the model is meant to support ongoing change that evolves with business needs.
Under this approach, consulting plays a more central role at the outset. Wipro’s consulting teams will work closely with senior executives to shape AI priorities, define future operating models, and set clear, outcome-driven transformation goals.
Once the direction is established, the focus shifts to designing operating models that are built for real-world use. This includes redesigning processes, planning different scenarios, and ensuring that both people and technology are prepared for execution, rather than leaving solutions at the concept stage.
Delivery responsibilities will then move to Wipro’s business process services teams. These teams will handle day-to-day execution, using AI-enabled automation, data-driven insights, and continuous process improvement to support business operations at scale.
The operating model is supported by Wipro’s Intelligence suite, a set of AI-based platforms and tools used throughout the engagement lifecycle. The company said this helps ensure AI is applied consistently and in line with business goals, instead of being limited to small pilot projects.
Wipro added that enterprises are increasingly looking for AI solutions that are tailored to specific roles and functions. By aligning consulting, design, and delivery, the company aims to help clients achieve measurable operational improvements and stronger financial outcomes over time.
