Infosys Launches Topaz Fabric to Transform Enterprise IT
Infosys has unveiled Infosys Topaz Fabric, a “composable stack” of AI agents, services, and models aimed at helping organizations derive faster and greater value from their AI initiatives.
The company said Topaz Fabric provides a layered, open, and interoperable AI and data infrastructure that unifies and accelerates IT service delivery across enterprise systems.
The platform allows businesses to access integrated, modular “services-as-software” through a single interface, enabling them to reimagine IT processes while avoiding vendor lock-ins.
Infosys explained that Topaz Fabric builds on existing IT investments to deliver AI-powered capabilities out-of-the-box, covering IT operations, transformation, quality engineering, and cybersecurity services.
The platform also includes over 50 AI agents purpose-built for IT operations, with pre-integrations across nine enterprise platforms.
The system will be customized for each client’s environment by Infosys engineers, who collaborate with client business teams to ensure high-quality IT services are delivered with “exponential speed and accuracy.”
The company highlighted that Topaz Fabric is designed for AI agents working with humans in the loop, allowing for collaboration between intelligent systems and human workers.
AI-Human Collaboration and Business Impact
These AI agents can execute end-to-end workflows, automate or remove repetitive tasks, and augment human productivity.
For instance, Infosys noted that its AI HR agent can process employee queries about business travel via chat or email and automatically generate the corresponding travel request.
Human employees supervise, train, and contextualize the AI agents, ensuring accuracy, governance, and ethical compliance in all processes.
Infosys positioned Topaz Fabric as part of its broader strategy to make enterprise AI systems more modular, governable, and value-focused, helping clients accelerate digital transformation while maintaining oversight and trust.
Satish HC, Chief Delivery Officer at Infosys, said the platform brings resilience by combining AI capabilities with human creativity, enhancing service delivery while leveraging existing investments.
He added that this approach lets clients reimagine their services stack, transforming it into a powerful engine capable of keeping pace with business demands and delivering a competitive advantage.
