Fujitsu, the Japanese information and communications technology company, has expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA to build a full-stack AI infrastructure that integrates AI agents. This strengthened partnership is focused on developing industry-specific AI solutions and computing platforms tailored for fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, and robotics.

The joint effort is expected to boost enterprise competitiveness and speed up AI adoption across various sectors, while also giving organisations the freedom to decide how they implement and manage the technology. As part of this collaboration, Fujitsu’s FUJITSU-MONAKA CPU series will be integrated with NVIDIA GPUs through NVLink Fusion, delivering a powerful next-generation computing infrastructure.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated, “The AI industrial revolution has begun, and we must build the infrastructure to power it in Japan and across the globe. Together, NVIDIA and Fujitsu are connecting and extending our ecosystems to forge a powerful partnership for the era of AI.”

As part of their efforts, the companies will co-develop an AI agent platform focused on specific industries. This platform will include features such as autonomous learning systems, digital twin applications, and robotics-based automation to help address ongoing labour shortages in various sectors.

Fujitsu has announced that the new platform will be offered through NVIDIA NIM microservices, allowing for quicker and more seamless adoption by customers. “By combining the technologies of both companies, we will develop and deliver a full-stack AI infrastructure, starting with sectors like manufacturing where Japan has a strong global presence,” said Takahito Tokita, CEO of Fujitsu.

Fujitsu continues to position itself as a major player in the computing world, with strengths in supercomputing, quantum research, and enterprise-level systems. Last year, the company also joined forces with Cohere to create large language models (LLMs) specifically designed for business use.

This latest collaboration with NVIDIA also involves work in high-performance computing and future quantum systems. Fujitsu is working to make AI infrastructure a foundational element of Japan’s digital society by 2030, while also expanding its technological reach on a global scale.
