Celonis and Databricks Join Forces to Connect Process and Data Intelligence

Celonis has formed a partnership with Databricks to bridge process intelligence with data intelligence, aiming to make enterprise technology more effective by embedding it with real business context.

The collaboration connects the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform through Delta Sharing, Databricks’ open-source data-sharing framework. This two-way integration enables live data to flow securely between both systems without duplication, helping reduce data silos, minimise synchronisation issues, and strengthen governance.

With real-time access to operational data, organisations can use Celonis to create a digital twin of their business operations using its Process Intelligence Graph (PI Graph). This virtual model allows companies to pinpoint inefficiencies and uncover opportunities for process improvement.

The insights produced by Celonis can then be channelled into Agent Bricks, Databricks’ development environment, to build production-ready agents based on live operational data. These agents can feed their outcomes back into the PI Graph, establishing a continuous improvement cycle.

Partnership Aims to Enhance Operational Efficiency and Flexibility

Marc Kinast, Vice President of Corporate Development at Celonis, said the partnership is about giving enterprises greater flexibility in how they use intelligent systems. “Databricks brings secure, governed data infrastructure and advanced agentic development tools, while we provide the process context needed to make intelligent systems truly effective,” he explained.

Sarah Branfman, Global Vice President at Databricks, added that the collaboration enables organisations to build systems that “truly understand their business,” turning process insights into “real, intelligent action.”

Reflecting on its practical benefits, Hobson Bullman, Vice President of Operations at Arm, said that combining Celonis and Databricks allows them to coordinate people, systems, and automated agents “to make our business more effective and efficient.”

The joint integration is powered by Databricks Delta Sharing and Celonis Data Core, creating a unified foundation for businesses to continuously enhance data-driven operations and outcomes.
