Superhuman: Grammarly’s Transformation into a Productivity Powerhouse

Grammarly has rebranded its parent company under the name Superhuman, marking its transformation from a writing assistant into a full suite of productivity tools. While the company will now operate as Superhuman, the Grammarly name will continue as one of its product brands within the broader lineup.

The rebrand follows Grammarly’s acquisition of the Superhuman email client on June 30, 2025, a deal first disclosed in early July. The purchase supports the company’s plan to expand into a connected productivity ecosystem by combining Superhuman’s advanced email technology with Grammarly’s existing platform.

“We’re changing our company name to Superhuman,” said Shishir Mehrotra, CEO of the newly named firm, in a blog post. “We’re evolving from a single product to a suite that includes Grammarly’s trusted writing partner, Coda’s all-in-one workspace, Superhuman Mail’s intelligent inbox, and a new product called Superhuman Go.”

This shift signals Grammarly’s growth from a single-purpose writing tool into an integrated system of proactive digital assistants. The new Superhuman suite will be available through one bundled subscription that unites writing, communication, and collaboration tools.

At the heart of this expansion is Superhuman Go, a product designed to embed multiple digital helpers into any app or browser tab. “Like Grammarly, Superhuman Go works everywhere you do. But instead of one assistant that helps you write, Go offers a team that can brainstorm, find information, send emails, schedule meetings, and more,” Mehrotra explained.

Go is built to fit naturally into existing workflows and handle tasks without constant instructions. For example, it can draw data from a CRM while drafting an email, check schedules while planning a meeting, or instantly surface relevant details during a conversation.

Expanding the Ecosystem: Superhuman’s Future and Developer Integration

The company also introduced the Superhuman Agents SDK, a toolkit for developers to build and connect their own digital assistants into Go. Early partners include Common Room, Radical Candor, Latimer, Fireflies, Parallel, Speechify, and Quizlet, with upcoming integrations from Saifr, Axios HQ, and Napkin.

Beyond Go, Superhuman is upgrading its other platforms, Coda and Superhuman Mail, to make them more proactive. Coda’s documents already combine information from multiple sources, but soon they’ll be able to act on that information—turning meeting notes into action items or producing summaries and briefs automatically.

Superhuman Mail, which already manages inbox organization and message creation, will soon be able to craft responses based on real-time context from calendars, contact lists, and connected tools. Mehrotra described the company’s broader goal as making technology feel effortless—integrated so deeply into everyday work that users can focus on creativity and strategy rather than routine tasks.
